Celebrating Student Creativity at the 2025 SoCal Beat Battle

Soundtrap for Education and Young Producers Group are excited to present the 2025 SoCal Beat Battle, a celebration of student creativity and the power of music education. Taking place on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Spotify’s Los Angeles campus in the Arts District, this event showcases the incredible talents of Southern California’s young musicians and the educators who inspire them.

A Showcase of Young Talent

This year’s competition drew over 700 original song submissions from middle and high school students across the region, representing districts like LAUSD and beyond. Students competed in three categories—Producers, Vocalists, and Instrumentalists—with a panel of Grammy-winning judges selecting the top entries. Winners will receive professional-grade prizes from Sweetwater, Roland, Fender, Artiphon, AiAiAi, Spotify, and more.

Honoring Educators

For the first time, the SoCal Beat Battle will present the Outstanding Music Educator Awards, recognizing three exceptional teachers who have made a lasting impact on their students. These educators have played a key role in fostering creativity and artistic expression in their classrooms.

Event Highlights

• Student Talent Showcase: Finalists will perform live, leading up to the announcement of the 2025 Beat Battle Champion.

• Interactive Exhibits: Attendees can explore cutting-edge music production tools from industry leaders like Riot Games, Warner Music, and Roland. Students will also learn about career pathways in music, sound design, and audio production.

• Exclusive Access to Spotify’s LA Campus: A unique opportunity to experience Spotify’s iconic workspace in the heart of the Arts District.
